Grammy Award winning Christian artist Laura Story will be the featured entertainment at this year’s Evening of Mercy hosted by Mercy Multiplied this Thursday, November 12th at Louisiana’s West Monroe Convention Center.

Following last year’s full-house event, Evening of Mercy will once again serve to grow awareness and generate much needed resources for the work and mission of Mercy.
Guests will enjoy a complimentary Louisiana-inspired dinner and program, including special music from Story and special remarks from Mercy Founder and President Nancy Alcorn. Guests will also hear from featured Mercy graduates, including Chelsea, a 2012 graduate from the Monroe Mercy home.
The pain of the abuse Chelsea endured throughout her childhood came to the surface when she was in college. “I started to realize that the things that happened to me were extremely wrong,” she said. Chelsea turned to self-harm and substance abuse to numb the pain. As her life became more and more out of control, she reached out to Mercy for help.

“I finally started to feel loved for the first time in my life,” said Chelsea about her time at Mercy.
Evening of Mercy begins with a VIP reception for sponsors from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with special photo opportunities with Alcorn and Story. The main event begins at 7:00 p.m. with a plated dinner.
Guests will have the opportunity at the event to make a donation toward the free-of-charge care Mercy offers young women struggling with life-controlling issues.
Online registration is currently closed, but those still wanting to attend can call Dana Owens at 318-372-5575 for seating availability.
