The string of holiday parties will soon begin, and there’s one that’s dedicated to helping broken, hurting women overcome life-controlling issues. Mercy Multiplied, a free, faith-based residential program for troubled young women ages 13 to 28, will host its annual Merry Mercy Christmas Benefit on Thursday, December 3 from 6 to 9 p.m.at the Hilton Nashville Downtown.
Special guests at the event will include Mercy Founder and President, Nancy Alcorn, along with Grammy-nominated and Dove Award winning vocalist Nicole C. Mullen and New York Times best-selling author Ken Abraham and his wife Lisa.
“For more than thirty years, we have observed and supported Mercy’s compassionate efforts to help young women leave behind the baggage from the past and move into all that God has for them,” said Ken for the couple. “We have seen firsthand the positive results.”
Long-time supporters of Mercy, the Abrahams are Event Chairs for this year’s event. “We believe wholeheartedly in the value of Mercy, and we are committed to continuing this urgent and important work,” said Ken. “We hope you will join us!”
Merry Mercy will begin with a reception and silent auction where guests can bid for items such as jewelry, art and sports memorabilia, and travel packages. A seated dinner will follow at 7 p.m., featuring a winter salad, a duel entrée of stuffed chicken supreme and herb crusted petite filet, and a holiday-themed ganache tart for dessert.
Guests will enjoy an after-dinner program filled with messages of hope and inspirational music. Alcorn will highlight the mission and work of Mercy while several Mercy graduates will share their stories of transformation. Mullen will perform hit selections from her esteemed career and discography.
Top sponsors for the event include Seeds of Greatness Bible Church and Hammered Heart Foundation. Tickets are available now for $125 per person ($65 is tax deductible) and may be purchased online at www.MerryMercyChristmas.com. Past events have sold out, so be sure to reserve your spot.
