One Day of Giving, Two Communities: St. Louis and Nashville

big2April 21, 2015

On Tuesday, May 5th, Mercy is taking part in The Big Payback (Nashville,TN) and Give STL Day (St. Louis, MO), which are both regionally-sponsored, 24-hour online giving events created to help nonprofits in these two communities raise funds vital to continue their work. Mercy is headquartered in Nashville, and Mercy owns and operates residential counseling facilities in both Nashville and St. Louis. Because of our strong ties to the communities in both cities, these giving events are a perfect opportunity to bolster additional support.

Both giving events will occur entirely online, beginning at 12 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5th, and running for 24 hours. Once the clock starts, we’ll direct our donors and supporters to the Mercy profiles set up on and in order to give!

Gifts from the public will be boosted with funds from sponsors of The Big Payback and big1Give STL Day. Mercy Ministries will vie for financial incentives and additional prizes through the online leaderboard, which will track donations in real time.

Last year was the first Give STL Day, raising over $1,000,000 collectively for over 500 community nonprofits. The Big Payback raised nearly $1,500,000 for over 800 Middle Tennessee charities. We’d love to have your support to exceed these totals in 2015!

On both giving web sites, public donors will be able to view and select from participating nonprofits based on location and focus area, such as animals, education, healthcare and more. Donors can support multiple nonprofits and make gifts of any size, from $10 and up.

Only two weeks remain until the big giving day, Tuesday, May 5th! Watch your inbox and social media channels for specific links to make your donations. We look forward to a great day of giving!
